Healdsburg offers a serene escape that feels like a world away.
The Setting Wines Tasting at Bacchus Landing
Bacchus Landing is situated at the crossroads of three of Sonoma County’s premier wine regions, and in the heart of Healdsburg. Bacchus is the home of 5 luxury tasting rooms and features its own large open patio where you can sit back and fully enjoy your wine experience. Whether you choose to spend your time in the spacious Setting tasting room, out on the piazza at your own café table, or the greens with picnic tables, bocce courts, and lawn games, there is plenty of space to relax with your friends and family.
Established in 2014, The Setting is a collection of luxury wines created by three friends: Jeff Cova, Noah McMahon, and winemaker Jesse Katz. As the first winemaker to make the Forbes “30 under 30” list, Jesse’s experience spans 19 harvests at internationally acclaimed wineries such as Chateau Petrus, and Robert Foley, and was a part of the winemaking team at Screaming Eagle. The Setting Wines is a culmination of relationships spanning decades from Napa to Sonoma County, sourcing from some of the most prestigious vineyards both valleys have to offer.
The Matheson Healdsburg Rooftop Experience
Savor the sunset on Roof 106, where cocktails and snacks are served with a stunning view of Healdsburg’s historic plaza, alongside the Best of The Best, a 5-course shared tasting menu. Your experience includes a cocktail each and a bottle of The Setting Sauvignon Blanc for the table.
Chef and owner of The Matheson, Dustin Valette, gestures toward a concrete corner of the restaurant, sharing a piece of his family’s history: “This is where Pépé’s bread oven used to be.” Honoré Valette, affectionately called Pépé, was known for his traditional sourdough and warm hospitality. A French immigrant, he once ran a bakery where Chef Valette’s first restaurant, Valette, now stands in downtown Healdsburg. We’ve got some great stories about Pépé—ask us to share them over a glass of wine or our signature brandy cocktail.
The Matheson honors these deep roots by nurturing strong relationships and supporting local artisans. In 100 years, what new stories will echo through this dining room?
