Chateau in Duras
Enjoy a fantastic week in a stunning 5-bedroom and 5-bathroom charming country house in the southwest of France. This spacious and elegant property is located near the charming medieval town of Duras, one hour from Bordeaux and 40 minutes from St. Emilion, one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The house is the ideal setting for large groups of friends or families, with a comfortable living room where your group can spend time in the evening, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a large dining table for enjoying meals together.
The property is perfectly positioned for exploring the different areas in the western part of France, and for visiting some of the most renowned wine regions in the country. Visit World Heritage sites such St Emilion and Bordeaux, charming towns like Bergerac and Duras, and the wine regions of Pomerol, Libournais, and Medoc. You can also head to the coast to eat fresh oysters in Arcachon and climb up Dune du Pilat, the highest sand dune in Europe!
On one evening you will have the pleasure to sample the renowned French cuisine with a fabulous 3-course dinner, prepared by a private chef right in the comfort of your chateau.
Bike Tour of Bordeaux
One day of your week you will have the chance to explore Bordeaux, one of the most fascinating cities in France, on a 3-hour private bike tour with a local guide who will share with you the secrets of this splendid city.
Grand Cru Classé Winery
During your stay you will have the chance to visit a Grand Cru Classé winery in the St. Emilion region. You will discover the different terroirs of the area as well as the grape varieties. In the cellar you will learn the secrets of winemaking and barrel aging and you will end the visit with a fantastic wine tasting
